What Is The Cause of Cancer?


As far back as I can remember “they” were looking for a cure for cancer. I am sure in this world there are researchers who have dedicated their lives to finding a cure. What if the cause was something simple that had somehow gotten into the food chain? What if the cure was as simple as changing our eating habits?

What we eat is very personal and private to most of us. I am here to tell you that you are what you eat. Here at home I am able to get my usual daily intake of vegetables and fruits. When I am traveling it is a different story. I do not feel the same. I experience the same problem with getting enough pure water. Both of these elements are very important in the prevention of cancer.

You may have heard of her, Dr. Lorraine Day, Dr. Day is a medical doctor who cured her own cancer after refusing chemo therapy and radiation. The tumor on her chest got so heavy she had it removed. Instead of the usual chemo therapy and radiation she chose to become a vegetarian. Dr. Day drank ten or more glasses of water daily. She also juiced daily as well as getting her daily quota of other vegetables and fruits.

Getting regular exercise, fresh air and sunlight daily is equally important. According to Dr. Day sunlight boosts the immune system. She also eliminated coffee, prescription and over the counter drugs, artificial sweeteners, sodas, and all processed foods. Dr. Day considered all of the above substances harmful.

Getting proper rest is also extremely important. She suggests getting to bed no later than 9:30 p.m. Eight hours of sleep is a must. She also suggests everyone read the Bible; it is a great way to get the attitude of gratitude and relieve stress. (My own suggestion would be to have a quiet time every morning to set the tone for the day.)

Caring about others is very important. Laugh daily, focus on the positive and stop watching regular television. Dr. Day stopped eating sugar and refined foods. I watch the Doug Kaufmann program every weekday on television. Know The Cause is a very informative program about staying healthy where many preventive measures are discussed. The Fungus Link is a book written by Doug Kaufmann. This natural health enthusiast came back from Vietnam very sick. Doctors could not seem to help him so he started looking for answers on his own. What he discovered may change your life. Fungus may be the cause of all disease. Sugar and refined foods including grains feed this fungus in our bodies.

How do we get fungus in our bodies? Antibiotics are the main culprit. Even if you have not taken prescribed antibiotics, they are in red meat, pork, fish, and chicken. Recently it was brought to my attention that after years of telling people chemotherapy is the only way to try to eliminate cancer, a famous hospital published a cancer update. To make a long report short this hospital actually endorses a healthy lifestyle as a cancer preventive program. According to this report we all have cancer cells in our bodies. If our immune system is strong our bodies fight off the cancer and prevent these cells from multiplying and eventually forming tumors. Multiple nutritional deficiencies may be the cause of cancer occurring. Food and lifestyles may contribute to this along with the environment and our genes.

Changing one’s diet to eighty percent fresh vegetables and juice, nuts, seeds and whole grains with some fruits will put the body in an alkaline state and strengthen the immune system. Supplements should be used as needed. The report go on to say a good way to stop cancer growth is to not feed the cancer the foods it needs to grow. Sugar feeds cancer. Artificial sweeteners are no better. Aspartame, Equal, NutraSweet, etc. are all harmful to the body. Molasses or a little Manuka honey may be used instead.

An acid environment is needed for cancer to grow. Meat is very acidic along with sugar and dairy products. Chicken or fish would be better choices especially if grown without hormones or antibiotics. Eat raw vegetables as much as possible as they contain live enzymes which nourish your body at the cell level. Your healthy cells will benefit within fifteen minutes of drinking a fresh vegetable juice.

Heat destroys enzymes at 104 degrees. Green tea is the beverage of choice. Coffee, chocolate and regular tea has too much caffeine for an individual fighting cancer. Drink pure water. Eight to ten glasses a day is a good goal.

Certain supplements strengthen the immune system. Vitamins, minerals, EFAs, Essiac, IP6, and antioxidants may be immune builders.

Do not put plastic containers or plastic wrap in the microwave.

Do not put water bottles in the freezer.

Exercise is critical as cancer cannot live in an oxygenated body. Keeping your body, mind and spirit positive and proactive is imperative. Let go of bitterness, anger and un forgiveness. (Not letting go will only contribute to a more acidic body.) Relax and enjoy life.
