The Vocal Majority Chorus, America ’s Premier Pops Chorus, concludes its 2007-2008 season with its 2008 Spring Shows “Best of Broadway” at the Charles W. The Vocal Majority Chorus’ Spring Shows celebrate the greatest theater music of all time featuring the music of such great composers as Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Elton John, Meredith Wilson, Steven Schwartz, Rogers & Hammerstein, and more. In three star-studded performances, the chorus offers the Metroplex the excitement of The Great White Way with new music selections to include: Tonight, Cool, and Something’s Coming from West Side Story; Circle of Life from The Lion King; Where is Love? from Oliver!; Aquarius from Hair; For Good from Wicked; and If I Were A Rich Man from Fiddler on the Roof. The Chorus performs this blockbuster series on Friday, April 18 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 19, at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Under the leadership of father/son directors Jim and Greg Clancy, the 140+ voice male chorus is known for its lush a cappella harmonies. With its international reputation, The Vocal Majority Chorus has performed with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and, in 1998 joined the Atlanta Symphony in a concert at Atlanta ’s Olympic Centennial Park attended by over 135,000 people. The Chorus has also performed with the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Irving Symphony, Las Colinas Symphony, Mid-Cities Orchestra, Richardson Symphony, Texas Wind Symphony, San Angelo Symphony, Utah State Symphony, and the Constitution Symphony Orchestra.

The Chorus's membership, all auditioned volunteers, offers the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex a professional men’s chorus with repertoire ranging from the classics to Broadway.
