| DON'T BE SCROOGED
A delightful start to the holiday season is the Trails Country Centre for the Arts production of "Scrooge." This adaptation of the Dickens classic has been staged and directed by Maryann Miller with a cast and crew of local talent. It opened last weekend, and audiences praised the wonderful acting, beautiful costumes, lovely sets, and the traditional Christmas carols. It's not too late to make plans to attend next weekend's performances, and it is well worth marking your calendar and taking the time to attend.
(John Milligan as Scrooge. Caitlyn Johnson as the Ghost of Christmas Present. Ben Warren as Young Scrooge, Melody Carr as Belle, Preston McElyea as Boy Bill.) The play was underwritten by Conrad Wolfman and supported by First National Bank of Winnsboro. Marie Staggs made the wonderful costumes, and June Hamilton did magic with makeup to help create the ghosts. The cast also includes other very talented young people, teens and adults who had great fun bringing these delightful characters to life.
