FROM THE LOFT

What a terrific spring we have been having in East Texas this year. I have really enjoyed working outside and getting my flowers and vegtable garden going.

For the first year since I planted them, my azaleas are in full bloom. I had about given up on them, but they are gorgeous. And my climbing roses are so full I had to anchor the trellis to the back of a storage building because the weight of the flowers was pulling it down.

The only thing I haven't enjoyed is the wealth of poisen ivy and poisen oak that I have also been graced with.

Looking at the flowers this morning, I thought about a question our pastor asked this week. He asked if we had ever seen the glory of God. I think he was actually referring to the Transfiguration, because he frowned when I said that "yes, I have seen the glory of God."

Gosh it is all around us.

You may call the creater of all this beauty by a different name, but there is no doubt that a power greater than mere mortal man is reflected in all we see around us.

And while I have never seen God glorified like the apostles did on the mountain, I have seen his glory in nature, in animals, in people, and in random acts of kindness.
