FROM THE LOFT

I'm glad we had such a beautiful spring with pleasant mornings to work out in the yard. Now summer is upon us and it is not so pleasant outside. I have been picking berries, dewberries have been ripe for almost a month and the blackberries are starting to come on strong.

Two weeks ago I could be out until about ten checking all the berry vines, but this morning I hardly made it to eight o'clock. Sweat was running into my eyes and the mosquitos were totally ignoring my insect repellant. It has been soul-satisfying to cultivate, pick and sell my berries, but I may donate more to the birds this year.

On anotther note, I will be busy this week for the Funder's Forum in Winnsboro. It starts Wednesday, and I will be helping out with taking pictures and moderating a panel. This is a great opportunity for the non--profit organizations in the area to meet the people who have grant money. I hope every one takes advantage. For more information about the forum click HERE

And if you want to take pictures of an event and do a little write up, I am open to submissions. It is hard for me to try to cover everything of interest in the area, so I welcome input from readers.

And keep us in mind for advertising needs. We are the best deal around for reaching the most people.

Until next time......
