FROM THE LOFT

August has started with a bang for me. This is the second week of the Youth Drama Camp held at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts. It is being led by Madison Tallant, who certainly lives up to her name. It has been a real joy to work with her and the 20 kids who are attending the camp. I am doing some of the behind-the-scenes work, and Madison is working with the kids and directing the show.

I hope everyone can come to the Center this coming Saturday, August 7th, at 7:00pm for the performance the young players have been working on. It will be a lot of fun, trust me. The kids are having a ball and that enthusiasm translates into a terrific performance.

On another note, I am pleased to announce that we continue to grow here at WinnsboroToday.com. Our July hits topped 100,000 and our visits topped 10,000. For our advertisors, that means a whole lot of folks saw your ads.

It was also nice this week to get high praise for the content that we offer here. I am so thankful that I have regular contributors who generously share their work with our readers. I remind everyone again to check out our columnists, Slim Randles, Tracy Farr, and Eva Warren. As well as periodic contributors Joe Dan Boyd, Minda Painter and others. Thank you all....

And now.. I have to get all the new columns posted and the rest of the site updated.

--------------

If you have comments or want to submit story ideas for Winnsborotoday.com, don't hesitate to contact me. And if you want to take pictures of an event and do a little write up, I am open to submissions. It is hard for me to try to cover everything of interest in the area, so I welcome input from readers.

And keep us in mind for advertising needs. We are the best deal around for reaching the most people.

Until next time......

If you are interested, I do write regularly on my blog so you can always hop over there to catch up with me if I haven't updated this column in a while. I try my best, but gosh there is so much to do.
