A Tribute to
Don and Lucille McCormack
by
Robert Watters
One of the
pleasures of life is to meet strangers that become good friends. In 1988,
I was struggling to start a new service business in Winnnsboro, called
R.H. McCrary Services. Someone reffered me to the McCormack's to take
care of repairs at their farm in the Pineview area.
After meeting
these folks, I was immediately made to feel welcome at and home around
them. It was a pleasure to take care of needs at two homes at their farm
for several years. I was entrusted with keys to the homes and made regular
stops to check on things for Don and Lu.
That is just
what I did. The pleasure of knowing them and some of their family was
what was important. I grew to have a high regard for them and valued their
friendship. Experiences like these are meaningful to me and help make
life worth living.
Don and Lu
left a legacy of friends, and most importantly, a great family. History
is built on the foundation of the family that God so perfectly invented.
It has been my good fortune to have known such good folks that have left
such a foundation on which good history will be formed.

Lucille McCormack passed away on November 11, 2002. Mrs. McCormack was

High School and Hadley Business School in St. Louis prior to starting
a career in accounting. Don and Lucille McCormack were married for 40
years, and Lucille is loved and will forever be remembered by her family
and friends.
