New Leadership In Chamber Of Commerce
By Maryann Miller

At last week's Chamber meeting, new officers and board members were installed. Mike Clark, manager of Brookshire's Food Store is the president; vice-president is Tony Grosso, who owns T&M Meat Market and Get-Some Paintball. Jim Plumlee, interim president of Winnsboro Economic Development Corporation will serve as treasurer, and Karen Sparks continues in her role as Administrative Secretary.

Whenever there is new leadership in an organization, there comes a renewed energy and dedication so the Chamber is off to a good start. In the next year, Mike would like to expand membership as well as offer support to business that are not members. "My vision is to help Winnsboro grow and prosper," he said. "And we do that by working together and supporting each other."

Mike has been in Winnsboro for two years and really likes living and working here. During his eighteen years with the corporation, he has trained in numerous stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas and likes the small town atmosphere of Winnsboro. He lives here with his wife, Misti, their daughter, Michaela, and their son, Matthew.

The officers will have the assistance and guidance of new board members: Charley and Debbie Boles, who owns The Outpost; Chad Brannan; Judie Casey, Casey's Bird World; Tim Davis, Davis Chiropractic; Greg Ledbetter, Century 21 Rogillio; Ed Russell; George Watkins of G&M Antique Clocks; and Kraig Yarbrough, who owns Retirement Consulting Group.

Chamber Purpose & Objectives

The Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce is the energizing and vitalizing force of the community. It seeks to unite all the industrial, commercial, and civic interests for the purpose of concerted action in supporting those activities which are broader than any single business or industry, but which promote the welfare of the area as a whole.
