Tucked
away on a small parcel of land just east of Winnsboro is Hunters Moon
Studio, the home of artist, Bonnie Sir Kegian. "We're taxed on eleven
acres," she said. "But I think we have about five acres left
of the original Ross homestead."
That parcel
of land had been purchased in 1862 by her great-great grandfather, A.J.
Ross, in an area that was known as the Crossroads, where he settled with
his large family. Bonnie's grandmother was one of those children, who
in time married and had three daughters...

the grim prospect of writing eulogies for the men he lost in the September
11 attack. Helpless in the midst of his grief, he turns to Joan, a writer
from Oklahoma living in New York. Through the stories that Nick tells
of "the guys" they work to lift the men from the "plaster
saints" portrayed by news media to the men that Nick knew and loved.
In the process, he struggles to regain the joy he had serving as a fireman
for many years. It is a powerful, at times funny and warm look inside
the lives of firemen and firehouse culture...

The Bad Seed tells the progressively lethal tale of a young and happy,
Southern housewife's torment at the incredible discovery that her

is at once so familiar and at the same time so unique.
I could tell
you about soaring, three-part harmonies, expertly crafted all-original
songs, precise arrangements, drop-dead musicianship and a slightly offbeat
stage presence. But even that can't prepare you for John DeFoore (guitar/vocals),
Dirje Smith (cello/vocals) and Randy Brown (guitar/mandolin/vocals) on
stage and live...
